Box Elder County Warrant Searches
Utah Courts links to Utah Statewide Warrants, which covers statewide outstanding felony, misdemeanor, and infraction warrants. The portal returned an access error during the September 2026 research pass, and its public input fields could not be confirmed. If it will not load, use Xchange to identify the case court, then contact that court.
Have a case or citation number ready when possible. Do not enter personal data into a form unless its official source is clear. A warrant hit needs confirmation from the court named in the result.
- Try the official statewide portal. Its public search fields were not verified, so do not assume it asks for a date of birth.
- Use Xchange and narrow by county, court, case type, citation number, or case number.
- Call the court on the case. Brigham City and Perry lower-court matters route to Box Elder County Justice Court; Tremonton and Willard list separate contacts.
- Call 435-734-3800 for booking, custody, charges, or bail. Use 435-734-3822 for Sheriff records, GRAMA, or civil-process questions.
- Ask the issuing court what a result means and whether counsel, an appearance, or another step is needed.
Utah Statewide Warrants Has Unverified Fields
The official public portal is confirmed by Utah Courts and BCI, but it could not be inspected during the research review. The Statewide Warrants manual describes internal law-enforcement controls, not the public form. It would be inaccurate to promise a public first-name, last-name, birth-date, or warrant-number field.
Open the portal from an official Utah Courts or BCI page. If a result appears, note its issuing court and case or warrant number. Use the court for a live answer instead of treating a screenshot or old search result as a clearance letter.
The official statewide search is the public starting point, although access failed during research and the form could not be inspected.
When it is unavailable, use the court and records contacts rather than treating a commercial lookup as an official warrant result.
What a Warrant Search Asks For
Xchange is the inspectable public case-search tool. The table describes its verified controls, not the blocked Statewide Warrants form. A citation or case number is useful when a name could match many cases.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jurisdiction | Selection | No single requirement documented | Choose District Court, Justice Court, or both |
| Search type | Selection | No single requirement documented | All cases or judgments |
| Case or citation number | Text | Optional narrowing | Use the number from court or citation papers |
| Party name | Text | Optional search | Last name and first name; `*` may broaden a name search |
| Scope and case details | Selection / date range | Optional narrowing | Statewide, county, or court; case type and date range |
Billable Searches Reward a Narrow Query
Xchange searches are billable, and the reviewed registration page displayed a one-time account charge of $10, $0.20 per search, and $1 per document. Prices can change, so check the payment screen before using it. Its help page says a search may return as many as 500 results.
Start with a citation, case number, court, or county instead of repeating a broad common-name query. The result may include a case number, court location, filing date, party code, case history, and document links.
The official Xchange help page shows the search controls. The image below is the public field interface.
Search fees are separate from county copy charges and any court payment.
Box Elder County Warrant Search Results
Xchange returns court-case information, not a promise that a warrant is currently active. Read the case location first, then compare the citation or case number and history. The statewide portal may show warrant-related details, but its public screen could not be verified.
| Warrant / case number | No Box Elder sample number format was published in the sources reviewed. |
|---|---|
| Case and charge | Case history may show charge classification, plea, disposition, judge, and proceedings. |
| Issuing court | Use the court location to find the right clerk. |
| Bail / release terms | These may appear in case material; ask booking or the court for current details. |
| Service status | System terms such as served or recalled require a current court answer. |
A No-Hit Can Have Several Causes
Xchange may omit juvenile, sealed, and expunged cases, as well as some older justice-court matters. A spelling or court-scope mismatch can also hide a case. Statewide warrant entries depend on court updates, and service information can change later.
A missing result is not proof that no warrant exists. A hit is not final proof of an active warrant either. Call the issuing court, especially when a clerk or officer has already given a case number.
Box Elder County Warrants: Who Holds What
First District handles higher-level criminal matters at 43 N Main in Brigham City. Box Elder County Justice Court handles lower-level county cases at 81 N Main, Suite 103. Tremonton and Willard publish separate justice-court contacts. Garland’s older court page is no longer safe to treat as current after the October 2025 county-contract transition.
The Sheriff’s 435-734-3800 route is for booking, custody, charges, and bail; 435-734-3822 is for records, GRAMA, and civil questions. No public Box Elder active-warrant roster or dedicated warrant desk was found.
City Court Routing Changes by Place
Brigham City and Perry lower-court cases map to Box Elder County Justice Court. Tremonton Justice Court publishes 435-257-9509 and warns that failure to appear may result in a warrant. Willard lists 435-723-2634 and evening court sessions. Garland’s legacy page shows old contacts, but the 2025 Judicial Council packet says the city shifted to a county contract effective October 1, 2025.
Use the court named in the case rather than assuming the city police department holds the warrant. Mantua’s current public court contact was not located, so ask Utah Courts or a county court clerk to route that matter.
The Xchange registration page lists the fees shown during the research review.
The court, not the city of residence, controls the next step on a case.
Which Warrants Stay Restricted
Utah GRAMA permits access to public records subject to private, protected, controlled, juvenile, sealed, and court-rule limits. Xchange is not a copy of every court file. Search-warrant records under Rule 40 can be sealed or delayed, and juvenile records have their own statutory protections.
Key Rules:
Utah GRAMA, Title 63G Chapter 2 sets public access and protected-record limits.
Utah Code § 78A-6-209 restricts inspection of juvenile court records.
Rule 40 allows sealing, redaction, or delayed access in some search-warrant matters.
GRAMA Is a Record Request, Not a Live Search
When an online screen does not answer a document question, use the county’s JustFOIA portal for a specific public record. Name the agency, record type, approximate date, and citation or case number if known. Do not ask for a broad list of people.
The 2026 Sheriff schedule describes actual reasonable costs, copying and delivery fees, and a free first quarter-hour of staff time. A $50 plus mileage line is for civil bench-warrant service, not criminal bail or a criminal warrant clearance fee.
The county GRAMA page routes to this public-request portal; its interactive fields were not exposed in the text review.
A request seeks a record; the issuing court answers the live warrant question.
