Box Elder County Warrant Records Box Elder County Warrant Records

Need to check a warrant in Box Elder County? Start with the court named on your notice, and keep the case or citation number handy when you call. Lower-court matters here may sit with a county Justice Court or a city Justice Court, and Garland's older city-court listing needs confirmation after a service change. Utah Statewide Warrants and Xchange can help you locate a case, but only the issuing court decides its status and whether it can recall the warrant. Police records and court files come from different offices, so know which one you need. Keep your paperwork close, call the court on the notice first, and ask which step applies.

How Municipal Court Warrants Work

Utah Justice Courts handle lower-level criminal, traffic, infraction, ordinance, and small-claims matters. A judge may issue a bench warrant after a required appearance is missed. The court that set the case controls the warrant and any recall.

Box Elder County has several court routes rather than one identical city system. No city police department in the reviewed sources published a warrant portal. Use the statewide search and Xchange to locate the court, then call that court.

Brigham City and Perry Use County Court

Utah Courts maps Brigham City and Perry lower-court cases to Box Elder County Justice Court at 81 N Main Street, Suite 103, Brigham City. Their police departments are separate records contacts and do not replace the county clerk or judge on a citation case.

The First District at 43 N Main handles higher-level matters. Read the case location before calling, since both courts are in Brigham City but use different addresses and numbers.

The official First District contact page identifies its separate route.

The table shows the public routing documented for the largest cities. Some use the county court rather than a separate city bench. Garland’s old page is a legacy reference, and Mantua’s current public court contact was not located.

Garland’s Court Contract Changed the Route

Garland’s city page still displays an older Justice Court phone, address, Thursday schedule, and payment information. The September 2025 Judicial Council packet says Garland discontinued its separate court and contracted with Box Elder County, with the expanded county model effective October 1, 2025 subject to certification and interlocal steps.

Use Box Elder County Justice Court at 435-734-3390 to confirm who controls a current Garland case. Tremonton-Garland Police remains a shared police-record route, separate from the court’s warrant decision.

Compare the transition packet with the older city page before acting.

Box Elder County Municipal Warrant Checks

Use the official statewide portal and Xchange to locate a court, then call the court listed in the case. Public warrant-form fields were not verified, so do not assume a date of birth is required. A citation number is often the clearest starting point for a traffic matter.

  1. Search Xchange by court, county, citation, or case number.
  2. Check Utah Statewide Warrants through the official Utah Courts or BCI route.
  3. Call the court on the case: county Justice Court 435-734-3390, Tremonton 435-257-9509, or Willard 435-723-2634.
  4. Use police records contacts only for incident reports; use county GRAMA for a defined public document, not live status.

Willard Holds an Evening Court Session

Willard Justice Court lists Monday sessions from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Its office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to noon. A published session is not a promise of walk-in warrant recall service.

Call 435-723-2634 before going. The city’s payment page says some matters require an appearance, and paying by card adds a fee; it does not say payment alone recalls a warrant.

The city’s contact page separates police at 435-734-9889 from court at 435-723-2634.

Municipal Warrants: What They Show

Case history can show a court, case or citation number, charge classification, and proceedings. Utah’s statewide file includes public warrant information, but the research did not verify its public form fields. A private internal service code is not a public case field.

City Police Records Do Not Recall Warrants

Brigham City, Perry, Tremonton-Garland, and Willard police pages route incident reports, records requests, tips, or dispatch calls. Those channels do not decide whether a court warrant is active. A police report number may differ from the court case or citation number.

For court status, contact the judge’s court. For a police record, use that city’s own request process. This separation prevents a records form from being mistaken for a warrant search or recall request.

Clearing a Municipal Court Warrant

Call the court before paying or appearing. Box Elder County Justice Court publishes in-person, mail, and Xpress Bill Pay options, while Tremonton and Willard publish their own contacts. The sources do not promise that payment alone recalls a warrant, and the county Pay Bail page could not be inspected.

  1. Ask which court controls the case and whether a warrant is active.
  2. Confirm whether payment, a scheduled appearance, or a judge’s action is required.
  3. Use only the payment route published by that court.
  4. Ask the clerk how to verify a recall and save any official order or receipt.

Warning: A court payment page does not state that payment alone recalls every warrant; get the issuing court’s instructions and confirmation.

GRAMA Requests Seek a Defined Record

For a copy of a public court or Sheriff document, use the county’s GRAMA portal, which redirects to JustFOIA. Identify the agency, record type, and approximate date, and include a case or citation number if known. This request path does not provide an instant status decision.

The 2026 fee schedule separates actual staff time, copying, certification, and delivery. Its $50 plus mileage line applies to civil bench-warrant service, not criminal bail or a court’s recall decision.

The county GRAMA page links to the public request system.
